Plinth ("we", "our", or "us") is an expense tracker app built and maintained by MrCee Labs. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
By using Plinth, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve our service:
- Google Account Information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google OAuth.
- Financial Transaction Data — Expenses, income entries, categories, and budgets you create within the app.
- Device Information — Basic device info for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
- Usage Data — Anonymous analytics to understand how features are used and improve the app.
Use of Information
Your data is used exclusively to provide the Plinth service:
- To authenticate your account via Google Sign-In
- To sync your financial data securely across your devices
- To provide cloud backup and restore functionality
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
🔒 We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or financial information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Google Sign-In Data
Plinth uses Google OAuth 2.0 solely to authenticate users. When you sign in with Google, we access:
- Your basic profile (name, email, profile photo)
- A unique Google user ID to identify your account
We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google services beyond authentication. Your Google credentials are never stored on our servers.
How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure), which provides industry-standard security including encryption in transit and at rest.
Transaction data stored locally on your device remains on your device until you choose to sync. Cloud sync is optional and user-initiated.
Your Right to Delete
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the Plinth app settings. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Children Under 13
Plinth is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Plinth after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
